I have an 18 month old. He was throwing up in the beginning of the week with a fever. Tonight his legs are cold as if they have poor circulation. He is very restless and when he wakes. He acts as if he has colic. But has been pooping. He just cries and wants to be held. He doesn t want to eat and is Drinking just enough to barely stay hydrated. He is on antibiotics for his ears and a red throat.

Hello,

As your child is on antibiotics. It is due to that he is having gastritis and other gastric disturbances. Antibiotics will cover the cause of fever too. As gastric disturbance is there it is obvious that appetite will reduce but hydration is very necessary. You can provide different fruit juice, lemon or coconut water. even he takes milk that is useful. Once the infection subsides the symptoms will relieve.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
