Hi,
Based on the symptoms you described, you may have a viral or bacterial infection. The sudden high fever, vomiting, and headache are common symptoms of infections such as the flu or a respiratory infection. The feeling of something stuck in your throat and the worsening cough suggests that there may be irritation or inflammation in your throat or lungs.
It is recommended that you see a healthcare provider for an evaluation and proper diagnosis. Depending on the severity of your symptoms, they may recommend rest, fluids, and over-the-counter medications to manage your symptoms. If the symptoms persist or worsen, they may recommend further testing or prescribe medications to treat the underlying infection.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Your current symptoms of terrible cough and feeling of something stuck in your throat are suggestive of lung infection. I highly recommend to see your caring doctor, have a good physical examination especially when it comes to auscultating your lungs. Meanwhile, keep well hydrated, and take oral menthol lozenges to open up the airways. Most important is to consult with your caring doctor as soon as possible to get appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
