What Causes Vomiting, Dry Heaves, Belching And Inability To Hold Food Down?

I was wondering if you could tell me what is wrong with me. I have went to numerous doctors each one say it was my gall bladder so I just had that removed last Thursday, and did not help, I am worse now than ever. I throw up bile, or just dry heave air every single morning. I can not eat food because it will not go down tries to come back up. I am belching all day, and its very very uncomfortable sometimes. I just want to be able to eat again. To me I think it is a lot of gas in my lower abdomen making me sick and throw up, there is an uncomfortable feeling in my lower abdomen 24/7

Hello,

Post-cholecystectomy surgery the gastrointestinal tract goes through readjustment and stabilization. Excessive gas can make you feel uncomfortable and bloated. It should pass out of the body through burping or flatulence. If not, consult your treating doctor, take antacids and PPIs. Patients also complain of heartburn, constipation and diarrhea. After surgery, it is normal to feel weak and tired for several days after getting back home.

Some people get back to normal life in 7-10 days. But some patients have discomfort for 2 to 3 weeks. Since you are having discomfort, you are suggested to get a follow up clinical examination to rule out infection, bile leakage, injury to the bile duct, injury to the bowel, blood vessels, intestine, deep vein thrombosis, etc. You will be treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
