Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My boyfriend has just returned from Cambodia, has been vomiting for 5 days, has a high temperature and a rash has appeared on his face? He has been in hospital for 12 hours in the uk and seen 2 docters who do not know his illness where they are doing blood tests but I am concerned.
Understanding your concern. As per your query your boyfriend have symptoms of vomiting, fever and facial rash which is due to viral infection due to poor immunity of body. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit general physician once and get it examined and start treatment after proper diagnosis. You should take full rest and apply aloe vera gel on face. You should take ibuprofen one tablet twice daily. Take diet rich in soft foods to avoid irritation to throat. Apply mist humidifiers in room. Get blood test done to detect level of infection. You should go tepid sponging as well. Take diet rich in multivitamins and take plenty of fluids.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
