What Causes Vomiting Followed By Rashes On The Hands And Face?

I have had 3 episodes where when vomiting I break out all over in hives, feet and hands swell, and face and tongue go numb. My doctor is sending me for allergy testing which o have had in the past but this nausea usually only happens when I am having a gastritis flare up. I have been scoped in past and there is no apparent cause for my severe bleeding gastritis and deuditis except it normally happens if my thyroid levels get too high (have had pappillary thyroid cancer). Could I be getting the hives from the gastritis?

Hello,

Considering your symptoms, the gastritis flare up, nausea and vomiting, in my opinion the hives might be caused by Helicobacter pylori related gastritis. H. pylori is a bacteria that grows in the digestive tract and commonly causes gastritis or gastric ulcer, and sometimes is accompained by hives.

So I suggest you to perform some analysis(blood test for antibodies against H. pylori,stool test,breath test). If the tests are positive for H.pylori than you need to treat this infection with Metronidazol, Claritromycin and Omeprazol.
