What Causes Vomiting In A Child After Taking Sumol?
Dear Dr. Morning, My Son is 15 months old and he is urinating oily urine. He was once diagnosed with UTI once when he was 3 months old. He have followed MCUG and DMSU test all were OK after his recovery. Few days back he has mild fever and it went away with a single dosage of Sumol and he is vomiting also for that he is under control with Domstall. Our local doctor has suggested these medicine and confirmed due to whether change or food poising he is facing this issue.
Vomiting in 15 months old baby may be due to the following reasons: 1) Indigestion 2) Food poisoning 3) Gastric irritation 4) Gastroesophageal reflux 5) Allergy any new foods or food recipes
As you have given Sumol and Domstal, no need to worry.
If you observe the following, you need to consult a doctor: 1) High grade fever for more than 3 days 2) Recurrent vomiting 3) Frequent diarrhea 4) Child not accepting feeds 5) Child very inactive and weak
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
