What Causes Vomiting In A Child Post Intake Of Advil?
My child and I were in a cat accident on sunday morning. She is 7 years old and was taken to the hospital just to be safe. Everything checked out, she was in no pain and all they said was that she may be a little sore. This evening, Monday at 9pm, she started to vomit. I gave her 3 children s chewable tablet advil, as per Dr s orders at 7pm. Could the vomiting be from the advil or is it the accident?
If it has been more than two days, it's probably the Ibuprofen is causing it. If she isn't in too much pain due to the accident, you could stop the Advil.
give her small sips of fluids and milk acts as a natural antacid.
please consult her pediatrician if symptoms persist for more than 24 hours or she vomits more than thrice. Avoid oily, spicy food, carbonated drinks. avoid giving anything solid for a half hour after she throws up.
hope this helps and she feels better. please get back to us if you need further clarification.
