What Causes Vomiting In A Child?

My granddaughter is 8 years old 72 lbs. and is on vacation. She is vomiting and probably has the virus that her sister just had. Do dr.s Still use suppositories( phenergan) to stop the nausea and vomiting? I just feel bad for her being on vacation and exposing all of the people she s visiting.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern.
Some advices that I can give to you are :
-Try offering tiny amounts of bland foods like bananas, plain noodles, or toast. “Yogurt is great because it has probiotics.
-Focus on hydration: Kids probably aren’t going to be interested in solid foods at first, and that’s ok The most important thing is to keep up their fluids by drinking water or other liquids.
-Anti-vomiting medications usually aren’t recommended in children.
Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help, thanks!
