Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi my baby is 4 months old, he has been throwing up since coming home from hospital after birth. I did breast feed first then changed to formula but its still the same. He is gaining weight well though. But the reflux is severe. What formula can I use?
Most babies vomit small amounts from time to time and is normal if your baby is under a year old. This means that when your baby's tummy is full, milk and stomach acid can flow back up his food pipe.
Until 6 months the best thing for your baby is breast feeding. If he is diagnosed with GERD discuss with his pediatrician for best formula.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
