Hello, I have gone through your query and understood the concern. If you have always had regular menstrual cycles and have a delayed period, pregnancy test should be done with a fresh early morning sample 3-7 days after the missed period. If negative, hormone imbalance should be suspected and investigated. A hormone profile, a trans-vaginal sonogram and a proper clinical evaluation are to be done. Infections should be ruled out. Urinalysis and blood counts are to be done. Further management can be planned accordingly. Hope this helps.
