What Causes Vomiting, Nausea, Belching And Loss Of Appetite?

Last Sunday AM I vomited all morning. My husband apparently had a bug also but his symptom was diarrhea. Anyway since then I can t get rid of this queasy feeling and belching. Haven t had an appetite...have eaten very little and only bland foods. I have tried my omeprazole the i don t have indigestion. Today I bought Pesto Bismol for the queasy feeling. Its been 5 days...am I on the right track? Anything else I can do?

Hi,

The diarrhoea is not resolving for five days. So bacterial infection and Parasitic infestation have to be ruled out. For that stool routine micro examination should be done.

Empirically until than broad-spectrum antibiotic containing ofloxacin plus ornidazole can be prescribed for five days.

Avoid the intake of excess spicy foods. Maintain hydration with lots of water. It's advisable to give vital Z like powder with water also to maintain electrolyte balance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
