What Causes Vomiting Of Cream Coloured Solution?

6 yr old, 48lb female being treated for constipation with daily dosage of Miralax She began throwing up a very thick, cream colored solution the consistency of frosting three hours ago. It doesn t smell like normal vomit, but it is so thick that she almost chokes on it trying to get it out. Her last BM was Saturday. I am concerned about bowel obstruction. She seems to be running a low grade fever. Does she need to be seen?

Hi, by what you quote it could be small bowel obstruction. You need to do an urgent ultrasound abdomen and x ray abdomen to rule out obstruction. Stop miralax and immediately go for above investigations. Take care.
