Hi,

From the query you have provided that you have the complaints of burning sensation of the stomach, decreased appetite, soreness in the mouth, and headache. Based on the symptoms, it is probably you are suffering from Gastritis means inflammation of the lining of the stomach. Gastritis results in improper digestion which in-turn decreases the proper uptake of nutrition which are essential for the normal functions of the body. Vitamins and mineral deficiency may lead to aphthous ulcer, stomatitis, dryness and cracks in the lips, etc. Poor dietary source of iron results in vitamin B12 deficiency results in anaemia.

Gastritis disturbs the normal appetite. Headache may be the side effect of the same. There is a valve in the lower end of esophagus called as lower gastroesophageal sphincter. Poor sphincter function results in gastroesophageal reflux disease. Since you haven't consult a physician so far, I suggest to consult a gastroenterologist. Oil free diet, low fat diet, non spicy food and scheduled food intake helps to alleviate the symptoms. Oral antacids, Proton pump inhibitors along with multivitamin tablets are commonly prescribed drugs in gastritis.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pradeepraj, General & Family Physician
