Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Why am I vomiting up my food, once or so per week. Is this caused by a poor diet? I drink coffee in the morning with usually an egg, a piece of bacon, and a pancake. We eat breakfast out. I also eat a lot of bread, and not enough fruits and veggies. My weight is 163 lbs. I am 5 3 .
Persistent heartburn and indigestion might be a cause of your problem. Eating out continuously can cause this problem, too. You can take Ranitidine 150 mg (Zinetac) twice a day for 10 days and observe the results. Combine it with Digene syrup (Magnesium Hydroxide + Carboxy Methylcellulose + Aluminium Hydroxide) 10 ml (two tablespponfuls) after every meals and at bedtime.
You can change some habits for long-term relief. Try eating more fibers and vegetables in your diet. Avoid eating spicy and acidic foods like tomatoes, onions, red/green chilies, soda, lemon, citrus fruits etc. Have at least two hours of gap between dinner and bedtime. Exercise regularly and drink plenty of water. Try to limit your outside food intake.
If your problem does not resolve in 10 days, you should visit a physician for physical examination and further investigations.
I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Take care.
