What Causes Vomiting While On Omeprazole For Pancreatitis?

My son has been tested for trouble with his pancreatis. He was prescribed 40mg omeprazole. Last month he was vomiting for a couple days (did not have his med) then stopped when meds again started now vomitng again. Started yesterday occassonally then started againn a bit ago. What he is throwing appears to be a brown liquid. Could this be related to his problem. He has not yet followed up with his gastro after several tests.
