What Causes Vomiting With Blood In It?

I suddenly felt sick last night and then vomited three times The last time I vomited there was quite a bit of blood in my vomit. I think it was due to a possible nose bleed at the time as there was blood near my nose.I also felt very dizzy at the time like the room was spinning around and I felt unsteady. Is this normal?I had really bad vertigo a couple of weeks ago and couldn't get out of bed for a few hours. I tried to, but I felt very sick and was so dizzy that I would bump into the walls.I don't know if that is related to my sickness last night. Thank you so much.
