What Causes Walking Difficulty Post Treatment For Sepsis?
My daughter had sepsis in Dec./Jan. and almost died. She did well for 6 wks. after coming home from hospital. she had to learn to retalk, and rewalk, and was intubated twice and then a trach. She is having so many issues. Hair fell out, pain all over her body, weakness in legs especially left leg, and left arm, too. She has horrible balance and can only walk with a walker after having to learn to walk for the 2nd time. She is so discouraged and I am frustrated, as nobody has any answers for her. Is there something that happens to people after sepsis????
Difficulty in walking and lack of balance suggests some kind of motor disorder. Sepsis could be the cause of the motor disorder. However, the cause of these symptoms can only be determined by clinical assessment.
I suggest you consult a neurologist and orthopedician for clinical assessment. Management of the condition can only be done after the condition is diagnosed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
