What Causes Walking Difficulty With Numbness And Swelling In Leg After Injury?
Hi....I think I have a slight fracture to my Schin bone....near my foot. I am walking with some discomfort, there is some swelling but it is the numbness/tingling that is bothersome. This happened a few days ago but it is bothering me more now. There is no bruising but a great deal of tenderness to the touch. I can t get appointment with my doctor for couple of days. What should I do in the mean time?
You are suggested to get clinically examined by a neurologist. Get Nerve conduction tests, blood workouts for RA, OA and imaging tests done to detect the pathology causing you discomfort. For relief from pain, take Naproxen, one SOS when pain. Take vitamin B1, B6, B12, vitamin E rich food or supplements. Get treated at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
