Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Warm Feeling In Body And Excessive Sweating In Head?
I frequently get very warm while doing normal activities. Nothing external cools me down. I particularly sweat through my head to the point where my hair will dampen as if I have a fever. My normal body temp is 97.9. I am overweight right now but this began about 15 years ago when I was 110 ponds and 22 bmi. The severity fluctuates but it s raging right now. Have been peri-menopausal for about five years now.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Symptoms being warm, overweight could be due to hormonal imbalance in premenopause and it would be controlled after menopause is attained. But as you had it for last 15 years, (when you were possibly around forty). I see more possibility of hyperthyroidism. Try to control your weight by diet restriction, regular exercises including 45 minutes brisk walk and pranayama especially Ujjai pranayama. Please get your thyroid function tests done. Specific medicines would help you. An Endocrinologist would help you.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
