Hello,
I can understand your concern. It seems that you are suffering from problem in
TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint). This joint lies in front of ear and helps in opening and closing of mouth along with side to side movements of the lower jaw.
It is hard to pinpoint the issue associated with TMJ without clinical examination but it might be inflammation of the TMJ, subluxation or MPDS (Myofacial Pain Dysfunction Syndrome). Alternatively, you might be suffering from impacted third molar or wisdom tooth in the right lower jaw which wants to come out in oral cavity but lack of physical space is not allowing it causing the symptoms.
I would advise you to visit an oral and maxillofacial surgeon for the examination of the joint along with further investigations like x-ray or
CT scan. Based on the report, diagnosis can be made and treatment can be started. The specialist can also diagnose if third molar is the trouble and can extract it if it is.
If you are in pain right now, you can take
Ibuprofen 400 mg up to three times a day to have some relief.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.
Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
