What Causes Warm Sensation On The Hip?

Hi, I have been experiencing an odd symptom for the past few weeks which is picking up steam. In my right hip area, it suddenly feels like someone has spilled hot coffee. It feels both very warm and wet, almost like I ve had an accident. It is now happening every half hour of so. Is this something that needs immediate attention?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As the burning is following pouring of hot coffee, I would suspect that to be of second degree superficial or deep burns. Following are best guidelines till you consult your family doc for further course of action:
- Local application of ice
- Sterile dressing with normal saline and gauze
- Tablet ibuprofen or diclofenac after meals

Later your doctor would assist with surgical dressing, antibiotics to heal the burns and supportive care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
