HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
This may be due to abnormal function of the nerves which can be temporary or permanent.
Abnormal nerve function, which is called neuropathy, can cause abnormal sensations in different areas of the body.
Some of the common causes are--(1) low levels of
vitamin b12 and folate
(2)diabetes
(3)
liver or
kidney disease
(4)side effect of medication
(5)trauma to nerves eg trauma in the back or
arthritis can affect the nerves going to the leg
(6)exposure to toxins
(7)abnormal levels of vitamin b6
(8)
thyroid disease
(9)infection such as shingles
(10)nerve conditions such as MS
(11) in some persons the cause is not found
If it continues or worsens then you should see your doctor for an assessment which would include a physical examination and blood tests.
Imaging of the spine may also be needed
I hope this helps
