What Causes Warmness And Dull Achy Feeling Near Chest?

Hi, I have been experiencing warmness and a dull achy feeling near my heart area. I do have acid reflux, and do get occasional heartburn, but I don't know if this is what is causing this to happen. Sometimes I feel shooting aches near the upper left part of my chest and sometimes I just feel warmness. I do not have any symptoms of a heart attack. No fever, sweatiness, nausea or anything.

Any ideas to what I may have? Stress, anxiety possibly?

Hello thanks for asking from HCM

I can understand your concern. Sudden onset warmness like feeling, dull ache or heaviness in chest can occur due to anxiety but medical causes should be ruled out first. Visit a physician and get your ECG done to rule out any cardiac cause for your symptoms. Occasional heaviness could occur in acid reflux also and this is one of common cause of such symptoms but persistent heaviness in chest usually seen in anxiety. Visit a psychiatrist for evaluation and to make a diagnosis.

Medicines like SSRIs are mainstay of therapy for such symptoms. These medicines help to reduce the heaviness and improve the day to day functioning. Visit a doctor for prescription.
