I have a wart type of bump on my knuckles, kind of cluster like. I noticed my husband has s few as well on his finger knuckles. They are round in shape. No discharge just red and annoying looking. I treated mine with wart remover but I m not sure that was much of a success.
Warts are commonly caused due to close skin-to-skin contact, and through contact with towels or shoes. It can spread by scratching, when cut or bruised wet skin comes in contact with infection causing virus. Avoid public showers and toilets. Immuno-compromised people are at a greater risk of contacting warts by infected people. To prevent warts do not use other people’s towels, washcloths, or other personal items, avoid sharing shoes and socks with other people.
Do not scratch warts as this can cause them to spread. Wear sandals when entering and exiting communal showers and pools. Keep hands dry and wash the hands after touching warts. Take care of your hygiene. You can apply salicylic acid or liquid nitrogen to freeze the bump. Applying a duct tape on the wart after it gets softened by soaking in water will help to reduce it. However, get it clinically examined by a GP, you may be recommended to get it removed by surgical excision & then given conservative treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
