I am 80 and having experienced increasing short breath went to the hospital where I was diagnosed with water in my lung being the probable cause.
I have been taking hot bath for a long time to replace dry sauna.
Is it possible that vapor from hot baths is the cause of water in my lung and ensuing short breath?
Is it possible that dry sauna eliminates vapor?
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your concern. No, dry sauna or anything like that can not cause water I lungs. You are having Pulmonary edema. And at your age, this is common in heart failure and cor pulmonale. So better to consult doctor and get done 1. Clinical examination of heart and lungs. 2. Ecg and 2d echo 3. Chest x ray and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). You may require diuretics and other supportive drugs. So better to first diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
