What Causes Water Pockets Above And Below Eyes Every Morning?

My eyes are crusty every morning. Also, above and below my eyes are what look like water pockets. The swelling goes down after I am up for about an hour. I had allergy testing and nothing was found. I do have dry eyes and have been treated with re stasis which didn t help. Could I have some type of blockage? This has been going on for over six months.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Such early morning swelling around eyes could be due to some eye problem causing stress to eye. Consultation and detailed examination of eyes would find exact cause followed by specific management. Remote possibility of kidney, heart or liver problem need to be investigated for under expert advice.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
