General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Voltaren is an anti-inflammatory drug used to treat arthritis and inflammation. Unfortunately, sometimes, its use is associated with fluid retention especially in patients with heart/kidney/liver disease.

So, to my opinion, should stop taking voltaren and discuss with your caring doctor who prescribed voltaren in order to determine if the swelling is from arthritis or due to voltaren use.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
