What Causes Water Retention While On Colyte?

I was prescribe colyte for a colonoscopy. I have taken 3/4 of it and scheduled to take the remaining liter in the morning. I noticed that I have water retention. I normally am on a salty free diet and a diuretic for fluid retention. Now I am concerned about taking any more. Please advise.

I don't think that the water retention in Ur body that u noticed is due to colyte. Colyte is used to clear Ur bowel of all food material before colonoscopy or barium studies.it may draw water out of Ur body into intestine and flush it out but it doesn't cause retention in body.if u have any doubt consult Ur physician first and confirm that u really have fluid retention and then he may advice some tests to find out cause.u can keep using colyte without worries.
