What Causes Watery Diarrhea And Fever To A 14 Month Baby?
My 14 month old started out w/watery diarrhea for a few days then progressed to very soft stools for 2 weeks, now has temp of 104, has run fever for 3 days now. Started on omnicef 2 days ago. Stool culture sent in 2 days ago also. What could this be? Mrs. Clark

The most likely reason for these symptoms is gastroenteritis episode which can be bacterial, parasitic or viral in origin.
I would recommend you to Continue the same treatment as advised by your pediatrician and wait for the stool report.
