What Causes Watery Testicular Swelling With Mild Discomfort?
Hi ive been running a fever since 2 weeks. Malaria test and typhoid tests were negative. the first blood reports was normal. when the fever persisted i took a second extended blood report. again the malaria and typhoid tests were negative but my esr was 60. i also notice a watery swelling on my right testicle with mild discomfort. This subsided in 3 days and the same has happenend in my left testicle.
Please advice treatment and cause.
Hi. Thanks for your query . Persistent negative reports for Typhoid and Malaria indicates that we need to find other causes of fever for such a long duration. ESR has no diagnostic role, it just helps to if there is a chronic problem and if it is reducing with proper diagnosis and treatment.
Possibility for Tuberculosis should be borne n mind. I would advise you the following: Gold Quantiferone test for TB, X-ray of the chest, Ultrasonography of the abdomen. Urine culture and sensitivity and other tests of blood, urine and stool. Watery swelling on the testicle and mild discomfort which got resolved on its own may no be significant at the moment.
Get a clinical evaluation, actual physical examination by a Physician to get a probable diagnosis, undergo relevant blood tests and so on .
