Hello,
As far as the discharge has no smell and you are feeling no burning and pain sensations in the area, there is nothing to worry about regarding the discharge. Little watery
vaginal discharge is normal in women.
However,
irregular periods are a cause of concern.
Menstruation is dependent on
female sex hormones. The
pituitary gland in our brain sends signals in the body that causes production and release of female sex hormones. These hormones are responsible for egg formation in ovaries. If the egg is fertilized during sexual intercourse, then pregnancy ensues causing absent menstruation and if it not fertilized, egg is sloughed out of body during menstruation.
If there is some imbalance between the signals from the pituitary gland and production/release of female sex hormones, egg/ovum formation is not regular resulting in irregular or absent menstruation. There are certain reasons that can cause such imbalance, like having Polycycstic
Ovarian Disease (PCOD), uterine fibroids, some structural abnormality regarding the female reproductive organs etc.
I can advise you to visit a gynecologist. He/she will examine you physically and will ask you to go for blood tests to check female sex hormone levels in your body. You might also have to go for
Ultrasonography (USG) to figure out stage of ovulation and rule out any structural abnormality or presence of fibroids or tumors. However, all these conditions can be well treated with hormonal medications and regular menstrual cycles can be achieved. Irregular menstrual cycles and related conditions are very common in females. So there is nothing serious to worry about.
I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing HealthCareMagic. Take care.
