Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Weakness And Dizziness Post Knee Replacement Surgery?
My mother had knee replacement surgery a month ago. The knee seems to be healing fine, but she is weak, and dizzy and her face is flushed. She also says her body achs all over. She is 74 yrs old. they put her on high blood press. meds. Don t know what kind...could these problems be side effects of the medication?
Weakness, dizziness and flushing of face are unlikely to be associated with knee replacement surgery. These symptoms seem to be due to black out. I suggest you to consult a cardiologist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
