What Causes Weakness And Headache While On Thyronorm?
Hi Sir, I am 22 yrs old and recently i was diagnosed to have thyriod. t3 - 0.85 t4 - 5.4 tsh- 150.0 the doctor prescribed me to have 100mcg thyronorm medicine, and after having the medicines I am feeling restless, weak, and have slight headache. Should i go and consult my doctor or it is common?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
No need to rush to hospital. These are common initial side effects. You are having hypothyroidism. Your TSH value is 150. This is very high. So thyroid hormone imbalance is high in your body. So you will need at least 10-15 days on thyronorm to balance your hormones. So no need to rush to hospital at present. Wait for 1-2 weeks more. If symptoms still persist then consult your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar
