What Causes Weakness And Numbness In The Right Half Of The Body?

hi I m 47 year old female . I m suffering from weak legs and dizzinessd ,numbness in my semi upper lip and eye in right side of the body since 1 month. I cousulted neurologist and he suggested MRI for brain and it was normal then he suggested Doppler for neck arteries and it was normal . all blood tests were normal . I ve had hypertension since 10 years treated with amlodipin and benazepril .all the doctors said Im suffering from stress and they advice me to take SSRIs .please help me I have lonely childern and I m frightening from serious medical condition. I live in Syria and every day I m frightening from death .

I can understand your concerns.

Your all the investigations are normal. You should be hopeful that there is no physical illness. Just stay relaxed.

Your symptoms of numbness and dizziness are mostly due to stress.

Practice relaxation exercises like deep breathing exercises and meditation.

I think you must take SSRIs to help you fight stress and anxiety. Escitalopram has minimal side effects and very effectice.

Consult a psychiatrist.
