Dear Sir, Hi & Welcome. It seems to be due to Pravastatin induced myopathy. Statins like Pravastatin are cholesterol lowering medications known to cause myopathy, liver injury and stomach upset. Myopathy (disease of the muscles) is characterized by weakness, pain or tenderness. The onset of muscle symptoms is usually within weeks to months after the initiation of Statin treatment but may occur at any time during treatment. You must stop taking this medication and consult your treating physician to prescribe an alternate effective but a safer cholesterol lowering medication like Ezetimibe or Cholestyramine. Since your calculated body mass index (BMI) is 41 which is very high, you need to reduce your body weight by exercise, dietary restriction of high caloric diets such as fatty meals, refined sugars such as ice cream, soft drinks, alcohol, etc. Hope this will help.
