What Causes Weakness And Shaking In Legs And Arms Of A Child?

My 13 year old daughter keeps feeling sick and her legs feel shaky along with her arms and she feels weak I am her mum and I ve been diagnosed with breast cancer just before Christmas and my treatment will be starting soon. I was wondering if this might be making my daughter feel anxious. Could you let me know if my daughters symptoms could be anxiety and also give me some other ideas of what it might be. She got worse tonight but has had the same symptoms the last few days but are much worse tonight. I await your reply in anticipation. Thankyou very much. Vicki.

hi.

noted history of weakness and shaking of arms and legs of your child. does she have other accompanying signs and symptoms, like fever, gastrointestinal disturbances? have you observed this happening only after you told her about your condition? is she having adequate nutrition/food intake? it is best if you bring your daughter to a doctor, preferably a pediatrician, for physical examination and clinical evaluation. yes, it may be an anxiety disorder. but other pathologic condition such as neurologic and infective causes must also be ruled-out. diagnostics and management will be directed accordingly. for now, talk to your child, keep her hydrated and well-nourished and ask if she's feeling anything other than the shaking of her limbs.

hope this helps.

good day!!
