Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Weakness And Sleeping Trouble After Taking Tramadone?
I was given tramadone 50 mg by mistake for Tramadol 50 mg that I have been taking since Jan 2015. The were sorry for the mistake, said the bottle is right beside for each other. I had not been feeling well, extremely weak and really having sleeping problems as sleep related medication has the opposite effect of making me restless. I have been bloated with some stomach pains also , related or not related. I had 3 doses on Sat. 3 on Sunday and two today, Monday the last at 3 PM. I am waiting for another hour before returning to Tramadol and hoping things will reverse itself. They said that they were contacting my PCP about the mistakes. Is there any reason to check in with my PCP tomorrow?
Excuse me, do you me Trazodon? Because Tramadon is the marketing name for Tramadol in some countries! If it was Trazodon(e) and you took only 3 doses there is no reason to be worried. However, such a mistake must not happen. I truly hope that your pharmacy will be more professional in the future.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Alexander Davis, General & Family Physician
