What Causes Weakness And Tinglings Sensation In The Hand And Fingers?

Hi, I have a feeling in my right hand and fingers that s I don t know exactly how to explain. I definitely have a weakness in the hand and a weird sensation, not completely numb, and a bit of a tingle. Sometimes it travels slightly up my arm. All fingers are involved, and has been happening for about two weeks. The level of annoyance changes throughout the day. I have had no injury or trauma that would have caused this. What do you suggest I do?

Hi,

Well, there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in queries like a sign of nerve damage, repetitive stress, injuries, bacterial or viral infections, toxic exposures, and systemic diseases such as diabetes and peripheral neuropathy.

There can be other reasons also like nerve entrapment, carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar nerve palsy, hormonal imbalances and vitamin deficiencies ( vitamin B1. I would suggest you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for proper examination.

The doctor may order a CT scan, ask for certain movements and complete blood tests.

The doctor may prescribe muscle relaxants, recommend physical therapy of arm and hand along with stretching exercises and recommend particular stretching exercises .
