What Causes Weakness In The Left Arm After An Elbow Surgery?
My husband had a broken elbow and after surgery within 5 months his whole arm was non-funtioning from shoulder to fingers. we were sent to a neurologist who ordered MRI of head and neck and a nerve conduction test which showed some problems with cervical vertebra. So he did surgery on his neck to help problem with his left arm.. Instead of helping left arm, now his right arm is showing signs of weakness especially fine motor skills. Two surgeries resulting in a nonfunctioning left arm and now a right arm and hand showing signs. Can surgeries bring on ALS? Before the surgeries he had use of both arms/hands.
