What Causes Weakness In The Leg Muscles?

What might make one leg lose muscle strength? I have had a nerve study with negative results. I do have a vertebra problem that may eventually require surgery. I have had one vertebra repaired and stabilized already. Since then I have had this increasing loss in strength in my right leg only.

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your leg.

As you said you had done some osteoplasty related to your spine there are chances of transient nerve injury which may lead to the muscle wasting, it should get repaired within a period of six months of its own. If it has taken more time, that means either your nerve is permanently damaged or there is another nerve compression which is making your leg muscles to waste.

You need to get the nerve conduction test done which one is involved and also visit a neurologist for further evaluation.

Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any further queries.

Regards
