My friend has weak legs, slurred speech, and is disoriented. She s done therapy for the Vertigo & was feeling better until the aforementioned symptoms came on abruptly and strong today.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

These symptoms are highly suggestive of a stroke. Please call an Ambulance immediately and take your friend to the ER. While other symptoms may be explained by vertigo, slurred speech is usually not a part of most vertiginous episodes. So please do take the patient to ER immediately. Time is crucial in stroke. So the earlier you take your friend to ER, the better.

Best wishes.
