What Causes Weakness In The Right Shoulder After Recovering From Chikungunya?
I had chikungunya in 2010. Ever since my right shoulder and wrist have become weaker compared to left side. Will it stay permanently? I am 67yrs old. Does the virus stays permanently in various body joints? The case is more than 7 yrs old. I am withdrawing.
The residual stiffness or recurrent joint pain is common sequel of chikungunya recovery; but shoulder and wrist weakness is not routinely encountered entity and must be addressed to neurophysician without any delay.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
