Hello there I m 47 I had a complete hysterectomy in 2017. I was the hardest time of my life coping with pain the healing process was very slow. Ever since I have gained weight almost 25 pounds and I get very hungry. I m very desperate to find a solution to this problem. Please give me some advise or if this is a common thing that happens to women after hysterectomy?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Kindly do abdominal exercises. Especially breathing exercises which are most effective in reducing belly fat. Since you got a surgery done your abdominal muscles will be lax. Usually, they teach you Kegels exercise, which may be effective but breathing exercise where you inhale and keep your belly filled with air and full evacuate it while exhaling is the best method.
Do the process as said. Do free hand and leg exercises also and 20 minutes walk daily. Eat good food and limit fatty, oily or spicy foods. Eat fruits.
Hope this information helps you sort out your problems. If you feel it’s helpful then kindly give me a user thank vote. Happy Health! Regards, Dr. Archana
