hi, i have been irregular periods after since i started work at age 20. Everytime see gynie doc, they keep given me duphaston tables which makes me getting put on weight. Without this duphaston, my period wont come. Of cos I wont take it regularly/month to makes my period come. And now im 36yrs old. Still the same.
Progesterone intake can result in side effects like nausea, abdominal pain, drowsiness, headache, mood swings, dry mouth, indigestion, diarrhea, breast pain and depression. It can also result in unusual weight gain, which is the most deceiving side effect. But low levels of the hormone not actually causes gain in weight, but results in water retention or bloating.
