Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have type 2 diabetes. I use to take janumet, but the gi issues were rough. Now I take oseni 25-30MG. This keeps my a1c at 5.9. I also exercise (6x per week) and diet. Five years ago I had a cabg (5X). I have gained weight since taking oseni. Is this a common occurrence? Based on this limited info which other meds should I consider?
Your concern regarding weight gain is genuine its expected with these tablets consumption. Change of tablet is suggestive if its not helpful in diabetes control, but also, keep a record of weight if its been much please meet your physician to change medications.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Suchita Yohan Halli, Emergency Medicine Specialist
