THEY HAVE ATTEMPTED TO REMOVE THE FLUID FROM MY DISTENDED ABDOMEN BUT THE ULS ALWAYS SHOWS THERE NO FLUID THOUGH THE DOCTOR CAN AUDIBLY HEAR IT AS CAN I... WHAT ARE THEY MISSING..
I'm here to answer your question and help you with the concern
Post cholecystectomy, or infact post any surgery, the metabolism is slowed, the bodily organs resume their function litlle slowly, mostly in a month or 2 months depending upon the individual.
Now, after cholecystectomy, the fat digesting capacity is altered, we cannot say decreased, but altered, so it is always good to limit fat intake
Eat more fibre/protein, limit fats/carbohydrates, and do regular exercise
Check your blood cholesterol levels, and if they are high you can take a statin daily [prescription drug].
Choose a comfortable diet plan that suits you and reduce weight.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards Dr Chaithanya
