What Causes Weight Gain And Frequent Urination In Women?
Hi, ive recently noticed I ve gained more weight, ive started to urinate alot more, I m feeling tired but I cannot sleep. Me and my partner have been trying for a baby for over a year, but I keep having all these symptoms especially sensitive breasts could I be pregnant?
Hello and welcome to HCM, The symptoms of gaining weight, feeling tired, unable to sleep and unable to conceive are suggestive of hypothyroidism. I suggest you to get thyroid function tests to know the status of thyroid hormones. Increased urination can be due to increased intake of water most commonly. Increased blood glucose levels can lead to increased thirst and thus increased urination. It also leads to increased appetite. Thus, if increased urination is accompanied by increased urination and increased appetite, you need to get blood glucose levels estimated. Thus, consult your physician for clinical assessment and prescription of thyroid function test and blood glucose levels.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
