What Causes Weight Gain, Fatigue And Sleeplessness After Cervical Disc Replacement?

Hi, my question is that I just had a replacement done on a cervical disk between C5 and C6. I have been having extreme weight gain (60 lbs since September 2014), fatigue but not able to sleep without help from medication, muscle spasms, hot and cold flashes, sour throats and a few other issues. I am 31 and neither I nor my dr s can figure out why I am having all these issues since the surgery. Any ideas as to what may be the cause?
