Hello, looking up information to see what I should do next. Met with my OB for yearly check, everything was fine, informed her I had gaind 20 pounds over 2 years, did bloodwork, all came back fine - she said peri-menopause was reason for weight gain. I am 47. Weight doesn t want to budge, and I am not a sleeper which doesn t help either and my diet is poor (coffee, skipping meals then eating etc.,) I am making adjustments trying to get back on track with watching intake and making sure I am eating 3x per day - and trying to get more movement and cut back on caffeine. I am making an appointment with my MD to see if maybe I should see a nutritionist? I am trying to cut back on stress as well with my job and commitments with family. Throid checked out ok, sugar checked out ok, should I be looking for something else? The idea of age and perimenopause just seemed like a category I was being dropped into.
