What Causes Weight Gain, Increased Facial Hair And Irregular Periods After Stopping Crysanta?
Hello sir..my age is 25 and I had pcod and thyroid when I was 23.doctor prescribed me crysanta and I am taking those tablets till now .whenver I discontinue it,my periods gets irregular and ache increase, hairs on face and weight gain..somebody told me taking these tablets for too long is also harmful..please suggest me something..my thyroid is normal now..
Hi, I think your weight gain, acne problem, irregular periods and excess facial hair , all are due to pco problem. Crysanta helps in that till you take it. I think you can try reducing the weight by diet and exercise. It will help a lot. You can try some medicines like myoinositol and metformin also. Discuss with your doctor regarding this. If these don't help, I think you should do a AMH level, Day 2 LH and FSH level. If values of AMH and LH are high you can go for a laparoscopy ovarian drilling, which will help in overcoming most of the problems. Hope I have answered your question. Regards Dr khushboo
